PLANT SUMMARY: The Global Fuels, LLC facility was originally built in 2007 and had an initial production capacity of approximately 3.1 million gallons per year. In 2013 the plant was upgraded and expanded, increasing the name plate capacity to approximately 5 million gallons per year. The facility is 1 mile south of Hwy 60 which is the main East/West route in Southern Missouri. The 2013 upgrade allowed the plant to process feedstock material with a free fatty acid content of up to 15%, compared to waste vegetable oils that are closer to 5%. The upgraded components included a pre-treatment system, acid esterification as well as expansion and improvement to the existing trans-esterification equipment. The plant is now idle and will be sold during a sealed bid auction process.
