COMBINED HEAT AND POWER (CHP) EQUIPMENT PACKAGE

A Renewable Energy Company Co-Located the $3.2 Million Dollar Heat and Power Generation Plant at Golden Grain Energy in Mason City, Iowa. Construction of the facility began in 2016 and was completed in 2018. The Independent Combined Heat and Power Facility Used Natural Gas to Produce Electricity Via a 4.25MW Remanufactured Solar/CAT Turbine and 24,000 PPH of 150 PSI Process Steam Via a Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) and Rebuilt 800HP Boiler. Surplus Steam was to be Sold/Utilized by the Ethanol Plant. Surplus Power was to be Sold Back to the Grid via an Interconnect with the Local Utility Company.

REASON FOR SALE: Due to Termination of a Lease and Subsequent Property Abandonment, GGE now has Ownership of the Equipment Co-Located at the Ethanol Plant Site in Mason City.

Sealed bids will be accepted by Maas Companies until Thursday, February 27 at 4 PM. Sealed Bid Offers must be received by the deadline and be accompanied by a $20,000 earnest money deposit (check or wire) along with a fully completed Sealed Bid Form. Bids must be delivered by traceable courier to Maas Companies Inc at 6923 10th Ave S.W. Rochester, MN 55902. Deposit Monies are payable to Golden Grain Energy and will be held pending acceptance.

Full Terms

All bids are subject to Seller’s acceptance on or before Friday, February 28 at 4 PM CDT. Bidders will be notified of the Seller's decision in writing via email and/or phone. At this time, the Seller, in its sole discretion, may either declare the high bidder the winner or in the event of a tie, the seller may invite the tie bidders to participate in a limited live auction. Should the auction proceed to a live limited auction, the event will be held Monday, March 2nd. Buyers will be able to participate via phone. Buyers are strongly encouraged to submit their highest and best bids by February 27. The Sealed Bid Auction process is binding and offers are non-revocable; buyers should request and thoroughly review all documents prior to submitting a sealed bid offer. Deposits of non-winning bidders will be returned immediately following the auction. To obtain a Sealed Bid Form, please contact the Auction Company.

EQUIPMENT REMOVAL: The equipment must be removed from the site within 90 days of the auction. Buyers are allowed to use the rigging company of their choosing provided the vendor can supply adequate liability and insurance documentation. Removal, packaging and transportation costs are the responsibility of buyer. All sales are final.

In all transactions, Auctioneer is acting as an Agent for the Seller. Buyers are urged to inspect items prior to purchase. Seller and Auctioneer are not responsible for items.
