SunPower Biodiesel was an integrated agriculture-energy company marketing renewable fuel products. The facility was capable of utilizing virgin vegetable oil from planted crops, used vegetable oil (UVO), and fats, oils and greases (FOG) to produce biodiesel. It primarily processed canola oil because of its superior cold flow properties. The facility produced 3 million gallons of B100 biodiesel fuel annually.

MANNER OF SALE: Auction will take place on site in Cumberland. The Real Estate and Equipment Tracts will be sold first followed by the piecemeal equipment. If you are unable to attend the auction online bidding will be available with our bidding partner, proxibid.


Broker Participation

Broker Participation is welcome but not required. A 2% commission will be paid to the licensed broker who, at the time of registration, registers the bidder who pays for and settles for the real estate. A broker buying on his/her behalf, or on behalf of any business entity in which he/she holds an interest, is not entitled to a commission.

Payment Information

REAL ESTATE: 10% Buyer’s Fee. Persons must show $20,000 Certified Deposit at time of registration to obtain a bidding number. $20,000 Minimum Certified Deposit due on day of Sale, with a deposit equal to 20% due within 2 business days, and balance due at closing within 30 days. The Deposit money shall become Earnest Money and is non-refundable. Counsel is coordinating the closing.
EQUIPMENT: 10% Buyer’s Fee. 13% Internet Buyer’s Fee. All funds due and payable on day of sale via cash, check with bank letter of guarantee, or wire transfer (posting within 24 hours). No equipment can be removed from the site without full payment. Sales tax may apply. Buyers with exemption status must document this AT OR BEFORE REGISTRATION.

Full Terms

EQUIPMENT: Buyers will have 7 days to remove small purchases; after this date, all small remaining items are subject to forfeiture. All large equipment must be removed within 30 days, however removal times will vary by Tract. Most items remaining after 30 days are subject to forfeiture. All buyers are responsible to make removal and rigging arrangements; removal, packaging and transportation cost are the responsibility of the buyer. All sales final.
